Michigan Weekend: Official Visits January 23rd

Quarterbacks

Zach Gentry

Committed to Texas but has interest in Michigan. Prior to committing to the Longhorns, Gentry expressed an interest in the Wolverines but former OC Doug Nussmeier took Alex Malzone instead and the previous staff only accepted one QB per class. Jim Harbaugh would like to add a second signal caller in this class and it could be Gentry. Official visit to Michigan this weekend and if Texas lands Kyler Murray I think you could see Gentry flip. The Longhorns are nervous about whether they can keep Gentry.

Runningbacks/Fullbacks/H-back

Reagan Williams

Committed to Stanford and he won’t be easy to flip but is a fan of Harbaugh and will be visiting Michigan this weekend. There is definite interest from Williams and the belief is the Wolverines have a legitimate chance of landing him.

Wide Receivers

None

Tight Ends

Matt Snyder

Committed to Nebraska. Snyder is seriously interested in Michigan however it will not be easy to pull him away from the Cornhuskers. He followed new Nebraska coach Mike Riley from Oregon State and they obviously have a close relationship. If he is overwhelmed, in a positive manner during his visit to Ann Arbor I think it’s possible they flip him but this will not be easy.

Jake Pickard

Committed to Wisconsin but has legitimate interest in Michigan. Pickard had strong interest in Michigan before committing to Wisconsin however an offer did not come. Once Gary Andersen left for Oregon State it opened things up again. Syracuse is making a heavy push as well. Official visit this weekend to Michigan and they have a very good shot at flipping Pickard.

Offenisve Line

Nolan Ulizio

Committed to Connecticut but stock is rising after receiving offers from Michigan, Pitt and Kentucky. Ulizio is visiting Michigan this weekend and many believe he may be the first to commit.*****COMMIT WATCH*****

Defensive Line

Reuben Jones

Committed to Nebraska but looking at other options and has serious interest in Michigan. Official visit to Ann Arbor this weekend and some feel he will flip to the Wolverines.  De-committed from Nebraska. Michigan and Louisville are possibilities. I like the Wolverines chances. *****COMMIT WATCH*****

Linebackers

None

Defensive Backs

Chris Williamson

Williamson is taking an official visit to Michigan this weekend but it will be an uphill battle to secure him in this class.  He is garnering a ton of interest particularly from schools down south. Whenever you get a recruit on campus there is always a chance and it may come down to Michigan or Auburn. This weekend will tell us much more.

William Lockett

UCLA commit but will be visiting Michigan this weekend. Lockett has sincere interest in the Wolverines but Michigan has their work cut out for them. I will know more after his visit.

Markel Bush

Teammate of Shelton Johnson but does not have an offer yet.
